STRESZCZENIE
In 1863, many inhabitants of East Prussia became involved in helping Polish insurgents. One of them was
Albert von Tucholka, a merchant from Pisz, who bought weapons and ammunition in Eastern Prussia and delivered them to Poland. His activities were soon discovered by Prussian authorities. He spent almost three months in
detention and the criminal proceedings against him were discontinued in May 1864.
