ABSTRACT
The article deals with the costs incurred for the preparation and binding of the fief tribute paid to Polish King Sigismund Augustus by Prussian Prince Albrecht Friedrich Hohenzollern during the Union Sejm in Lublin on July 19, 1569, for which a complete list of expenses of the royal treasury has been preserved. This list has been included as an appendix in the new critical edition. It indicates the decorative elements of this tribute, the ceremonial insignia and gifts to the fief and the expenses incurred for them. The list also has hitherto unknown references to the preceding detailed bills of the treasurer's office. Moreover, these bills indicate additional costs associated with the Lublin homagium. Expenses for the logistics and setting of the 1569 homage, in light of the narrative sources, indicate that this homagium, organized on the model of the first Prussian homage held in Krakow's Market Square on April 10, 1525, was similar in terms of scenery, spectacle momentum and audience.
