ABSTRACT
The aim of this article is to describe the communicative potential of texts grown on the basis of culinary recipes collected in Grzegorczyk-Wosiek's book Historia na talerzu. The aim will be to reconstruct the mechanisms of evocation of borderland family memory through the medium of culinary recipes. We will talk about the elements of borderland topography considered significant, about the values and everyday life of the landed borderlands recorded in the family transmission. We will resolve the genological dilemmas of Grzegorczyk-Wosiek's narrative, with a special focus on the marriage of personal document literature (diario, memoir) with applied writing (recipes), oral tradition (storytelling) and the view from the perspective of women (herstory). We will use instrumentation appropriate to literary studies, media studies and culinary anthropology.
