Contract for scientific manuscript publication and copyright transfer

§1

The Publisher undertakes to publish the Author’s original manuscript entitled.............................................................................
....................................................................................................................................................................................................................,
hereinafter “the manuscript”, in the Masuro-⁠Warmian Bulletin.

§2

While submitting the manuscript for print, the Author is obliged to submit as well a signed Author’s Declaration form.

§3

The Author consents to publish information about his/her affiliation, including his/her business and e-mail address, together with the manuscript (both in paper and electronic form).

§4

The Author transfers the global and perpetual proprietary copyrights to the manuscript indicated in §1 without consideration to the Publisher in the following fields of exploitation:
1. Publishing and disseminating the manuscript in paper and in electronic form
2. Recording the manuscript using any technique in a format chosen by the Publishing House
3. Disseminating the manuscript, in particular by marketing the original or its copies on which the manuscript or its fragments were recorded, and by sharing the manuscript in the open access formula in accordance with the Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 licence
4. Sharing the manuscript on online and internet reading rooms, and on full-text journal databases.

§5

The Publisher undertakes to share the manuscript in the Open Access formula so that everyone can access it at any place and time they please, under the provisions of the Creative Commons licence: CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International)

§6

The Publisher undertakes to provide the Author with one copy of the journal issue in which the manuscript was published.

§7

The Parties agree that the Author will not receive remuneration for writing the manuscript nor for submitting it to the Publisher.

§8

1. The Publisher has the right to implement necessary changes in the manuscript resulting from the editorial work.
2. If the Author refuses to implement changes specified by the Publisher in the manuscript or fails to implement his/her own changes (corrections, abbreviations, additions, etc.) within 30 days from the receipt of the relevant notification, the Publisher may withdraw from the contract without setting an additional deadline.
3. The Author may be charged with the costs of implementing his/her own changes in the manuscript after the typesetting commencement if the scope of the implemented changes exceeds the total volume of the manuscript by more than 10%.

§9

Any amendments and supplements to the contract shall be made in writing under pain of invalidity.

§10

The Parties shall aim to settle all disputes arising from the contract amicably and in default of agreement, the dispute will be settled by the court having jurisdiction over the Publisher’s registered office.

§11

To all matters not settled herein the provisions of the Polish Civil Code and of the Copyright and Related Rights Act shall apply.

§12

The Author consents to the processing of his/her personal data by the Publisher for the contract implementation purposes.

§13

The contract has been drawn up in two counterparts, for the Publisher and for the Author each.
